Established in August 2008, Common Ground was founded by loving parents dedicated to making the most up-to-date, practical and effective parenting techniques easily accessible for even the busiest of parents.

Common Ground was inspired by Big Bear’s Lighthouse Project and partners with them in their mission to create “Child Honoring Communities.”

Dedicated to STRENGTHENING FAMILIES

Parenting has always been as challenging as it is rewarding. Some of the challenges parents face today are different than generations past. Parents and educators everywhere are finding that young people don’t respond to the same type of discipline as they did a generation or two ago. There has been a cultural shift. Common Ground’s groups, workshops and network of parents help one another learn to apply innovative parenting techniques that are effective with today’s young people. Our goal is to help guide and support parents who are interested in raising responsible people who are fun to be around, while maintaining an interactive and close relationship with them.
